Speaking as a doctor that used to occassionally visit the family I can confirm that the phrase 'the doctor' was used quite frequently. As in: 'The doctor, the doctor, it's the doctor dear'. Luckily I never took my wife who is also a doctor or it may have been...'The doctor and another doctor, two doctors dear. Yes. 2 doctors. Both are doctors. Is Hillary a doctor dear? No Hillary is not a doctor. Is Hillary here dear? No not Hillary just 2 doctors. 2 doctors and not Hillary? Yes, dear, 2 doctors and not Hillary.' Was never offered any Don though!  |
